Description of event: Two-Day Live Virtual Train-the-Trainer Workshop

Overview/Summary:

This two-day live online train-the-trainer workshop will train facilitators to implement the Bringing in the Bystander® College Prevention Program*.

Attendees will gain the skills to facilitate the program themselves as well as adapt and implement the curriculum on college campuses.

Over the two days, participants will

  1. Receive an overview of the BITB College curriculum with experienced trainers.

  2. Apply trauma-informed facilitation skills.

  3. Learn strategies for adapting BITB College to unique campus cultures.

  4. Understand the facilitation and adaptation of the BITB College curriculum.

  5. Practice bystander intervention strategies.

  6. Expand professional networks with other attendees.

*This training will cover how to facilitate our bystander intervention program, using the newest version of Bringing in the Bystander, Version 3.23. The fundamentals of the BITB training are the same for all license versions but if your organization does not have the newest version, some of the training slides will be different and some material will be new to you. If your organization has a license for Version 1 or Version 2, we will not be able to ship out a new hardcopy Facilitator Guide.

Not sure if your institution or organization has a license? Reach out to Casey at casey.laplante@soteriasolutions.org for more information before registering.

If you would like to renew your license early and receive the latest BITB license version (v3.23), we are happy to help you. Renewing your license extends your license time three years beyond its natural expiration. You will not lose any license time. Contact Casey at casey.laplante@soteriasolutions.org.

Target Audience: (who should attend?): Trainers who will be implementing the program and training others to facilitate on their campus, and facilitators (people who will be delivering the program to students)

Agenda or objectives: To receive a copy of the agenda prior to registering, reach out to Casey at casey.laplante@soteriasolutions.org
