Description of event:  In-Person Train-the-Trainer workshop

Overview/Summary:

Our partner, St. Mary’s University, is hosting this in-person train-the-trainer workshop that will train facilitators to implement the Bringing in the Bystander® College Prevention Program*.

Attendees will gain the skills to facilitate the program themselves as well as adapt and implement the curriculum on their college campuses.

Participants attending this training will:

  1. Receive an overview of the BITB College curriculum with experienced Lead Trainers.

  2. Apply trauma-informed facilitation skills.

  3. Learn strategies for adapting BITB College to unique campus cultures.

  4. Understand the facilitation and adaptation of the BITB College curriculum.

  5. Practice bystander intervention strategies.

  6. Expand professional networks with other attendees.

*This training will cover how to facilitate our bystander intervention program, using the newest version of Bringing in the Bystander, Version 3.23. The fundamentals of the BITB training are the same for all license versions but if your organization does not have the newest version, some of the training slides will be different and some material will be new to you. If your organization has a license for Version 1 or Version 2, we will not be able to ship out a new hardcopy Facilitator Guide. If you would like to renew your license early and receive the latest BITB version, we are happy to help you. Renewing your license extends your license time three years beyond its natural expiration. You will not lose any license time.
