Trigger Warnings Are Not Enough: Trauma-Informed Prevention Programming
At Soteria Solutions, we implement programs focused on preventing sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking and discrimination. Therefore, nearly all of the content in any of our programs could be potentially triggering to participants who have directly experienced – or had someone close to them experience – interpersonal violence. Customizing Know Your Power® for Your Campus
The Know Your Power® Bystander Social Marketing Campaign is the result of almost 20 years of collaboration between researchers and practitioners who have worked together to develop, evaluate, and implement a “passive” intervention strategy that increases target audience awareness of the problem of sexual and relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment, providing them with tools to intervene when they witness dangerous or potentially dangerous situations.

Requiring Bystander Intervention Training at Work
Recently, the city of Chicago made headlines when they expanded their sexual assault prevention efforts by requiring bystander intervention training for all companies with at least one employee working in the city. This requirement is the first of its kind in the nation and advocates hope that required bystander intervention training will expand to all companies around the nation.
